Day 023 · Wrap-up

A Chill Day of Coding, Strategy, and Cursor Miami Ship Night

Not every day needs to be some massive breakthrough.

Yesterday was actually pretty chill — a good mix of coding, strategy work, and getting out of the house for a bit.

I spent part of the day coding and working through some of the projects I have going on. A lot of what I've been focused on lately is figuring out how to use AI not just to write code faster, but to make the entire development process more efficient — research, planning, debugging, building, and eventually getting something into production.

I also spent some time revising a social media strategy for a client. That side of my work is completely different from sitting in a code editor, but there's actually a lot of crossover.

Whether you're building software or putting together a marketing strategy, you're constantly asking the same kinds of questions:

  • What are we trying to accomplish?
  • Who is this actually for?
  • What should we build or publish first?
  • And how do we know if any of it is working?

Ending the Day at Cursor Miami

Later in the day, I walked over to Cursor Miami: Ship Night at The DOCK.

Cursor has obviously become a major part of the AI-assisted development world, so it was cool having an event like this happening basically in the neighborhood.

The whole idea behind Ship Night was simple: show up, build something, and ship.

There were developers, founders, AI people, and other builders working on projects, forming teams, experimenting with tools, and seeing what they could get done in one night.

That kind of environment is always interesting to me because you get to see how other people are actually using AI outside of the stuff you see constantly posted online.

Less talking about what AI *might* do someday.

More laptops open and people actually building things.

More of This

One thing I've been enjoying about being in Miami is how easy it can be to randomly end up around people working on technology, startups, AI, and new ideas.

Yesterday wasn't some huge conference or carefully planned business day.

I coded.

I worked on a social media strategy.

Then I walked over to an AI developer event happening nearby.

Pretty solid day.

And probably a good representation of what Life of AI is really supposed to document — not just AI news, but what it's actually like using these tools every day while building businesses, software, marketing systems, and whatever comes next.
