About Antonio
I’ve been building for the web since before AI could write code.
I’m Antonio Irizarry — a software engineer, designer, digital marketer, and founder of Always Coded Fresh.
I started teaching myself to code at 15. That curiosity turned into years of building websites, applications, brands, internal tools, and digital systems for businesses at every stage of growth.
My work doesn’t fit one box. I can shape a Rails architecture, refine a UX, connect an API, fix production, write landing-page copy, and think through how the product actually reaches customers. Engineering, design, marketing, and entrepreneurship — that’s how I approach almost everything I build.
Why “Life of A.I.?”
The name is partly a joke. My initials are A.I.
It’s also taken on a second meaning as artificial intelligence has become part of how I work, learn, experiment, and create.
Life of A.I. is my public engineering journal — what it looks like to build software, run a small company, test ideas, recover from setbacks, and grow a career during one of the fastest technological shifts of our lifetime.
This is not a site where I pretend to have everything figured out. It’s where I document the process of figuring things out.
AI is part of the workflow — not the whole story.
I use AI to research, plan, prototype, debug, write, organize ideas, and move faster. But generating code is not the same as engineering software.
Someone still has to understand the problem, question the output, make architectural decisions, protect the experience, test the edges, and own what ships.
I’m not only interested in what AI can generate. I’m interested in how people can use it thoughtfully to become better builders.
What I’m working on
A lot of my work sits at the intersection of software and real-world business operations — startup-grade sites and apps through Always Coded Fresh, plus internal tools, automation, lead-gen workflows, AI-assisted products, and experiments that grow into working software.
Ruby on Rails is usually at the center, often with React, PostgreSQL, background jobs, APIs, and whatever the project genuinely needs. Practical over complicated. Reliable, maintainable, useful.
What you’ll find here
Some entries will be polished case studies. Others are notes from the middle of the work:
- Daily build logs and project updates
- Thoughts spoken aloud while the ideas are still forming
- Engineering decisions and lessons
- AI-assisted development experiments
- Product ideas and early prototypes
- Notes on design, marketing, and automation
- Field notes from books, articles, and videos — what I learned
- Honest reflections — including mistakes and abandoned approaches
The finished product matters. So does the path that produced it.
Building in public
For a long time, most of my work lived quietly inside repositories, client projects, private notes, and late-night sessions. Life of A.I. is my attempt to make more of that process visible.
Progress is rarely one dramatic breakthrough. Most of the time it’s one focused session, one solved problem, and one committed change at a time.
I’m Antonio Irizarry.
This is the life of A.I.
